SATURDAY, 13 AUGUST 2022 FROM 20:30-22:30
Soulful, passionate vocals fronting blues-guitar-based rock songs written by the band or inspired by the likes of Elkie Brooks, Janis Joplin and Etta James.
Blues you can get your teeth into!
With a musical pedigree stretching back to the 1970’s, and various band members having played/toured with artists such as The Strawbs, Maggie Bell, Barbara Dixon, Mike Batt, and AC/DC among many, many others, it’s hardly surprising their music resonates with the styles of Fleetwoood Mac, Primal Scream and Vinegar Joe.
It was in 2004 that Chris Parren and the Renton brothers eventually got together to form 3am – since when – with many a change of line-up – they’ve played hundreds of gigs – including Chichester Blues Fest, Ealing Blues Fest, Guilfest, and Rhythmfest, Charlotte Street Blues, the original Crawdaddy Club in Richmond, and the 100 Club.
More recently, support slots for the Steven Seagal Blues Band, and for guitar legend Reeves Gabrels (Ex-Bowie, currently The Cure) on their UK Tours, and in 2016 the Custom Bike Show at Olympia.
Their own songs come in many and varied styles – from the bouncy, almost “pop” “Attention Seeker” through the near bluegrass train-rhythm of “Hideaway Blues” to the sultry, insistent bass lines of “Insatiable”. So, expect the unexpected!
There members of the London based band, Salamander, which has played in many prestigious venues including Dover Street wine bar.Table booking is available now.
